The Weber Q320 outdoor electric gas grill is a compact outdoor kitchen that offers more than its small size would suggest. How does it compare to other inexpensive propane grills? Find out everything you need to know with our Weber Q320 review.
Weber Q 320 Grill [REVIEWED & RATED]
Weber is one of the most expected (if not the most expected) grill brands out there, making solid, reliable products that rank among the best outdoor grills in the world.
Although Weber is best known for its charcoal inserts, they also offer an extensive range of outdoor gas grill models. Mimicking your traditional grill models? Our Weber Q 320 review sets one of their listed gas offerings apart.
The Weber Q 320 has a very well thought out design with excellent security features. The tank storage system not only locks the propane tank to keep it from moving, but also uses the weight of the tank to balance the remaining weight of the grill. This is an excellent design feature and its contribution to your safety and comfortable cooking experience cannot be underestimated.
The Weber 320 has only two control burners, one for the internal and one for the internal burner, and a single button to turn them on. Easy to use and a simple design with clear controls. The ignition is loaded with a big red button (I love big red buttons) which it covers on the first try. The button is also sturdy and cleverly placed so you don’t push it back when leaning on the grill or using other functions. It may be a small highlight, but we find it valuable.
The Weber Q 320 has a grilling area of 393 square inches, which isn’t as big as most of the other gas grills we’ve tested at the best outdoor grills.
The grill has two burners underneath the grill, with the inner one heating the central areas of the grill and the outer one heating the edges. The heat on the cooking surface is always an important criterion for an outdoor gas grill. If you are patient enough to cook small amounts of food at once, the Weber Q320 will ensure the quality of sea cooking at a high level.
There are two collapsible trays on each side of the grill, giving you plenty of space to place ready-to-cook or ready-to-serve food. While they’re decent enough for their primary purpose and feel sturdy, they do make the grill a bit awkward to move.
Weber Q 320 Review One of the main reasons people buy a gas grill is that they can get worse at how quickly these models heat up (you can find a great explanation of how gas grills work here). The Weber 320 is decent enough at this, taking around 10 minutes to reach its optimum temperature of 625°F, which is average for most models like this.
The cooking performance of the Weber Q 320 is also good: it takes between 9 and 10 minutes for a burger, no matter where it is on the grill plate. As a result, the heat distribution is almost perfect, which is always a strong sign of a great gas grill.
The grills handle temperatures stayed cool throughout the cooking time, meaning it was safe to use without wearing gloves to protect yourself. However, remember that the body temperature increases with more, so it pays to be careful when cooking.
The Weber Q 320 is a great model that falls somewhere between a portable grill and a full-featured grill. Although its cooking surface is not the largest, its performance will definitely ensure that you leave nothing to be desired when it comes to the quality of your cooking.
